When one thinks of these beautiful islands it is easy to get lost in images of vibrant sand and crystal clear water; chilling under a coconut tree sipping on something cool. Situations like these are part of what makes us who we are; however it is just that, a part. Our aspiration at CORE is to show that there is much more to our home; the Virgin Islands, and after a year we have not scratched the surface. For the observant eye, visions of our beautiful culture are not hard to find, it only takes being in touch and truly concerned. Being thankful for the modern times we live in, CORE is born to this technological generation and we utilize the resources available to the best of our knowledge. With the support of readers, advertisers, and sponsors we have created the most visited and frequented internet sites for the Virgin Islands Urban Culture. Our community sites like Hi-5, Myspace, and Facebook have a remarkable amount views per month thus with our internet prowess, printed media, and the support of our local communities, CORE steps into 2008 and beyond with diligence and determination.

Of course the thanks are many; we appreciate all the personalities over the past year that allowed CORE to profile them, the promoters that opened their events to us, and to the businesses that recognize CORE as a powerful medium of marketing their products and services. As we take the first step of 2008 with our anniversary issue, who else would be more of a symbol of diligence and determination than ‘Housin’s’ own Rock City.
