“Music pursued me!” proclaims Monifa E. born Monifa Pole, a gospel artist who began signing around her house, making up songs and recording them on her little radio as a child.  Now years later Monifa E. is an edgy gospel singer about to release her first solo album “It’s Not About M.E.” which includes the single “Let Go” featuring E-rif.  She describes her music as “fresh, real, urban gospel with a pinch of hip hop, a dash of soul and a sprinkle of jazz.” Apart from her solo project, Monifa has been featured on a compilation gospel mix tape called “The Ambush” and appeared on two tracks (“Let it Go” & “Trust Me – Open Pt.2”) on the album “Journey To the Son” by Al Hunter.

Representing for Jesus Christ all the time, and not just on stage, Monifa E. spreads a message of truth, hope and realness that she follows in her everyday life.  When asked about being a role model she replied:  “I have a lot of fans (especially younger people) who look up to me, and I want to be a positive example to them.  It’s tough to be a positive, respectable female these days.  There are so many bad examples for young girls to follow.  That’s why I strive to show young girls that they don’t have to compromise their body and mind to be successful.  God has a plan for all of us and if we keep our eyes on Him, we won’t have to settle for anything less than the best!”
