REVALATION
SERIOUS MATTERS

Revalation’s love for music began at the age of six.  During his boyhood, he continued to develop musically as a member of his school and church choirs through performing at small plays and talent shows.  He decided to pursue a career in reggae music after much encouragement from this older brother Kyza who believed in his ability to express the message of Rastafari.

After the influential Black Woman & Child and Praise Ye Jah albums by Sizzla Kalongii, he was among a whole new generation of Virgin Islanders who at the time began to gain interest in Rastafari.  Sizzla still remains one of Rev’s major inspirations apart from foundation artists such as: Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh and Gregory Isaac.

His musical style is universal but unique because he merges the messages of confidence, righteousness and faithfulness in the living King Halie Selassie the 1st with things we see in everyday life.  Rev plans to continue to make conscious reggae music as long as the most high sees it fit to “I’ll just let Jah be my guide”.  When asked about his career so far he humbly says “I’m still in the process of overcoming.  For me every day is a challenge, I just stay focus and remain patient.” He advises other artists to live righteously and to take their music and careers seriously.

Revalation’s debut album Serious Matters (April 2008, Studio 340) includes chart toppers: “Live it Upright”, “You are Someone”, and “Selfesteem”; look out for “Flame On”, “Just Getting Even” and “Real Revolutionary” featuring Pressure Busspipe.  Serious Matters is a melodic blend of roots, lover’s rock and conscious reggae music; each song compliments the other.

I just stay focus and remain patient
