From Our Nov - Dec 2007 Issue

Mix CDs (Past/Present/Upcoming) CD Release Dates: The hottest ever in the B.V.I. (Get Mad Now Soca Mix vol. 1, 2, & 3) the regular monthly dancehall mixes and I am currently working on a new mix, which will be my best work ever (pulling out all the stops)

Radio Shows & Times: Phat az Friday (7am – 12am on Friday), current working on two new radio shows that will be dropping within the next couple months: one  will be a hip hop show and the other a reggae show so look out for those coming to my radio station ZROD-FM

What made you decide to pursue music and broadcasting? Being home when I was in high school turning on the radio and listening to the disc jockeys and being amazed by the fun they was having, and also looking at deejays on TV. Most memorable Kid Capri, Q Bert and many more;  just being amazed as to what they were doing and saying to myself:  I want to be able to do that and most importantly my love for music.

Are you a clash or juggling DEEJAY? I considered myself to be a club/juggling deejay (in other words I can deejay, not just play music)

Describe your DEEJAY style. My style is crazy, you got to be at one of my many events to experience it “hype, energy, vibes” just crazy, I love to see people enjoying themselves.

What makes a good mix? It must be marketable; have songs that your audience love; it must have over 50 tracks (no one buys mixes that does not have over 50 tracks no more); it must be affordable and most importantly; it must be mixed properly and also has some kind of added attraction (gimmick etc.).

What advice you give to an up and coming DEEJAYs? Be a deejay cause u really want to be one, don’t be a deejay because u think the pay is good or the night life is awesome and u will get laid faster, nah; if you become one for those reasons you will end up not mastering the craft.  Be a deejay cause you love the art form and you have a passion for it; take the time and look at the history of deejaying—you will appreciate the art form a lot better and intern it teaches you the basics of being a deejay which never changes.

Be a deejay cause u really want to be one, don't be a deejay because u think the pay is good
